NOOB Collectors, a fledgling group of Funko Pop! enthusiasts, approached us to help make Funko-related designs to support their group’s launch. Being toy collector’s ourselves, we were excited at the prospect of working on a project related to our interests, and we pushed for the idea to turn the designs into a limited edition sticker set!
The set is an introduction to terms widely used among toy collectors. We patterned the packaging of the sticker set after that of the face of Funko Pop! boxes.
Collectors put a premium on the various stickers that indicate a certain Pop!’s exclusivity or rarity, so we imitated this thrill of the chase by making our own ‘Limited Edition’ sticker on the packaging. This novel idea really helped to simulate the feeling of acquiring another prized piece for one’s collection.

FUNATIC /fəˈnatik/ n. Funko’s play on the word “fanatic”; refers to die-hard fans of Funko merchandise who like to collect and share their love for the brand.
