Diyalogo Sticker Party Recap

The idea of throwing a Sticker Party was mainly born out of our desire to give back and thank the fans for keeping up with our shenanigans through the years.

For those who don’t know, Diyalogo’s first Sticker Party back in 2016 was a modest event held at a partner café on one rainy weekday. We had a pretty good turnout back then, but we knew we could do better. Fast forward three years later and here we are with a sort of relaunch of the Sticker Party – with more stickers, more merch, more games, and more fun! Being Diyalogo’s first major independently-hosted event in quite a while, this year’s Sticker Party promised to be a sign of bigger things to come for the brand and its followers.

But before anything else, big thanks to Nica and Kayo Cosio of Kendo Creative for graciously offering their space for this event. It turned out to be the perfect venue, given Cubao Expo’s status of being one of the longtime creative hubs in the metro where a vibrant indie art scene naturally thrives. We couldn’t have asked for a more appropriate place.

The Sticker Party, of course, was all about the free stickers. Taking center stage was the notorious Sticker Buffet, which was basically a long table jam packed with stickers. Try as we might, we couldn’t fit all our designs on the table, but there were plenty enough for the guests to snatch up their favorites and make their own custom Diyalogo sticker set at the end. The buffet table turned out to be quite the instagrammable spot too, especially with Kendo’s gorgeous graffiti wall looming over it at the back.

Guests had lots of ways to get multiple buffet passes

The event also saw the official launch of several items in our merch line – new keychains, pins, car stickers, and our newest plaything, the Diyalogo Kendama! We said we’ve been wanting to do something different for a while now, and the Kendama is certainly a step in that direction. Maybe we’ll make more toys and quirky knickknacks in the future, who knows? As long as it’s fun, we’ll probably do it.

Something new this time around was the Art Trade. For those who’ve been with us during bazaars and other events, you’d know that we’re fond of spreading the good vibes and doing impromptu art trades with anyone who’s willing. This is a tradition that we’d like to keep doing, and we stepped it up this time by sending out a call to anyone who was willing to trade in any kind of their artsy goodies for some of ours. We’d say we got a pretty good haul from this art trade, and we’d like to thank everyone who was enthusiastic enough to participate.

Lastly, the Sticker Party wouldn’t be complete without party games! We hosted a couple of quick games to liven up the room: Bato Bato Pick Tournament and Category Game. Random guests raised their hands to join in for a bit of competitive fun and laughter, and the grand winners of each game won a seriously loaded Diyalogo prize pack. We’re sure these two champs ended up with the biggest smiles on their faces at the end of the night, but for those who failed to win them all there will be more chances soon!

And that’s a wrap! This Sticker Party was one for the books, and we hope you guys enjoyed it as much as we did! We had fun mingling with all the guests and meeting new friends along the way. Lots of thanks to everyone who dropped by and celebrated with us. Watch out because we plan on doing more of these in the future, only bigger and better!
